In brief, a look at more than ~55.000 press releases by the EU commission shows that we just lived through the "decade of the crisis". https://quitter.is/attachment/1262231
But crisis, as a rhetorical device, is apparently disappearing. As of 2017, all sorts of crisis seem to be behind us.

Updated graphs on the pageviews of Turkish-language Wikipedia as recorded by their own servers. Spikes likely due to short-lived proxies. Mirrors structurally go unrecorded by Wikipedia.

So... I created another Twitter bot (yes, ok, on Twitter). Unlike my previous bot PostJourn (https://twitter.com/postjourn), which is serious and useful, this one is plain silly and totally useless. It is something that humanity didn't need. Or... maybe it did?

Meet covfefy - https://twitter.com/covfefy - a bot that takes tweets by Donald Trump and "covfefies" them. You see examples of the results in the pictures attached. To clarify: I am not editing those tweets... there is a script that extracts new tweets from Trump's timeline, and automatically applies the rules of #covfefe

Again, this is silly and useless. But it was so quick to implement, that I could not resist the temptation of "just because I can".

Grindeanu also openly accused Dragnea, saying that the crisis was due only to "one man's desire of holding all the power."

Rarely intra-party struggles come out so openly, especially when there's a solid majority, and a sitting and broadly uncontested PM.

Now everybody in #Romania is looking at the technicalities of #semipresidentialism.

But to his apparent big surprise, Dragnea found out that Grindeanu was not a doormat. And that yes, he was still a sitting PM. A sitting PM unwilling to resign. Claiming, among other things, that this would risk giving power to someone who is not from the PSD.

Allegedly, all other members of government excluding the PM were ready and willing to resign. But PM standing means, government is standing.

For anyone with an interest in politics, Sorin Grindeanu's (#Romania's PM) press conference yesterday night was the best thing on the telly.

Grindeanu was made PM by PSD party leader Liviu Dragnea 5 months ago, largely because he thought he was spineless and would take orders. After 5 months, Dragnea decided to get rid of him, and initiated a government crisis without any discernible reason.

@samtoland good to hear! and looking forward to see it develop further. by the way, I did not actually realise that you were actively involved in #resonate (just saw you mentioning it in one of your posts).
So far, the steep increase in amounts paid after about 6 listens is the main issue I encountered, the only one which I think is wrong by design. Besides it, much depends on how the whole thing develops, how many artists sign up, etc.
